PLACE worked with this Seattle couple to improve efficiency, aesthetics and ventilation at their house on a steep slope overlooking Genesee Park Built without overhangs, eaves or window flashing, the original structure had major water damage and required residing and some window replacement. Additionally, because the clients complained of heat gain and ventilation issues, we added additional, operable glazing, shed roofs with optimal overhang and two 380 cfm vent fans in the loft to pull warm air up and out of the house and make the most of cross ventilation. |
